Stefanie Görkes is the woman in charge
It may appear a bit like a three-way-swap, but it's not less than a change to generation Y
Mrs. Stefanie Görkes is our new functional woman in charge for Emissions and Ambient Air according to the German Environmental Control Act.
Her predecessor, Dr. Peter Luthardt, will now be her deputy in this function, along with his management colleague Franz Jöne.

In the literature they are cited as Oxy, NSO- and alkylated PAHs. We prefer to name it -short and simple- PAH-like components to rarely tie the circle to the well-known dioxin-like substances.
QS Laboratory Performance Assessment on PAHs in Soy Oil and Apple Pulp
Successful participation
The German QS (Qualität und Sicherheit GmbH) operated a laboratory performance assessment (feed monitoring 2024) on Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) in soy oil and apple pulp.
The mas participated successfully.
Brominated Dioxins
Now part of the new TA Luft (Technical Instruction for Air Pollution Abatement) and 17th BImSchV
At our facility, the methodology for determining brominated dioxins and furans has been established, validated, and accredited since 2006.
We cover the entire spectrum of brominated analysis with our usual quality:
- Homologue totals from Tetra- to HeptaBDD/F
- 17 congeners with 2378-bromine substitution pattern
- 8 PBDD/F congeners according to the Chemical Prohibition Ordinance
Study on extraction efficiency
Current since the presentation at the DIOXIN Conference 2007
Is it certain that the usual extractions in the analysis process can really capture all organic trace components? Evidence for this was still pending.
mas published results of its own studies as early as the 2007 Dioxin Conference.
