BUA Workshop on 7th September 2015
"Home Game" in Münster
On 7th September 2015, a workshop of the Federal Association of Independent Testing Companies (BUA) took place in Münster in advance of the celebration of the 10th anniversary of mas.
Topic: "On the Trail of Traces"
Stephan Hamm delivered a lecture at this event, which illuminated, among other things, the shares of PCDD/F and PCB in the respective TEQ value in quite different matrices.
In particular, this context highlighted the "special" concentration distribution between PCDD/F, dioxin-like, and non-dioxin-like PCBs in the exhaust gas from shredder plants.

VDI / ITAD - Special Day on 13th November 2014
Lecture in Würzburg
Peter Luthardt lectured on 13th November 2014, in Würzburg on the occasion of a VDI/ITAD special day as part of the lecture series "Dioxin/Furan Emissions at the Würzburg Municipal Waste Incineration Plant.
In addition to details about the sample preparation and analysis of emission samples to determine dioxin and PCB concentrations, participants gained insight into the mechanisms of action of the toxicity of these substances.
Illustrative tables allowed for an understanding of how TEQ values are determined, as well as an assessment of the magnitude of the determination limits to be achieved.
