Conformity Assessment

At the customer's request, the analysis results are checked for conformity. Unless otherwise agreed, the decision rule as set out in the EU regulations is applied for assessment or classification of the measurement results (for PCDD/F, PCBs according to the current version of 2017/644 (food) or 2017/771 (feed), for PAHs according to the current version of Regulation (EU) 333/2007). The analysis result is thus classified or evaluated considering the extended measurement uncertainty (confidence level of about 95% using an expansion factor of 2).

For foods, the maximum levels according to the current version of Regulation (EU) 2023/915 and the corresponding trigger values as set out in the current version of EU Recommendation 2014/663/EU are used as the basis for assessment. For feeds, the measurement values are assessed according to the current version of Directive 2002/32/EC.

A detailed sample description according to the regulations/guidelines mentioned above is necessary to ensure error-free classification of products. This includes the origin of the sample, its intended use, and the exact composition of the material.
