Nitro-PAH

A somewhat exotic variant:

1,3-Dinitropyrene

While Polychlorinated Naphthalenes (PCN) represent a halogenated variant of a single PAH component (Naphthalene), Nitro-PAHs are substituted derivatives of different components.

Nitro-PAHs make up only a fraction of the total PAH amount but received special attention in the 1980s (Nitro-PAHs from combustion engines) due to their biological activity.

The analytics are also desired in carbon blacks, currently with 8 selected Nitro-PAHs.
